FreeTools
280+ free browser tools — no uploads, no sign-up
280+ free browser tools — no uploads, no sign-up, 8 languages
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built FreeTools over the past month — 280+ tools across 13 categories. Here's the
backstory:
THE PROBLEM
I kept searching for simple tools online — compress an image, format some JSON, merge
PDFs. Every website wanted me to create an account, upload my files to their server, or
showed me 47 ads before I could use the tool.
THE SOLUTION
I decided to build my own. Every tool runs 100% in your browser:
- No file ever leaves your device
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no tracking
- Works offline after loading
- 8 languages supported
TECH STACK
Next.js + Tailwind + shadcn/ui. Deployed on Vercel. All tools are client-side — zero
server costs.
3 THINGS I'M PROUD OF:
1. The full-screen Pomodoro timer with Aurora background — it's genuinely beautiful
2. PDF tools that work entirely client-side (merge, split, compress, rotate)
3. The batch file rename tool with regex support — saved me hours on photo organization
WHAT'S NEXT:
- More tools (aiming for 500)
- WebAssembly-based tools for better performance
- Community tool suggestions
I'd love your feedback! Which tools would you actually use? What's missing?
All tools are free. No ads (yet). I just wanted to build something useful.

Who hunted FreeTools?
FreeTools was hunted by cat. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
