Framehouse
Interior Design + DIY Made Ridiculously Easy
You have the mood board. You know what beautiful looks like. But the same couch from 2019 is still there: because every time you get close to a decision, something stops you. Design media shows you other people's rooms. DIY content talks down to you. Framehouse lives in that gap: AI design tools paired with real editorial guidance, so you build rooms that feel genuinely yours. Not a render factory. A design confidence platform. iOS, April 7.
Hey PH. I'm Michael, and I built Framehouse because I was frustrated with myself.
A few years ago I moved into a new apartment. I had strong opinions. I wanted something layered, considered, a bit European but grounded. I had references. I had the saved images. And for almost two years, I did almost nothing. I bought a lamp. I moved a bookshelf. That was it.
The problem wasn't money. It wasn't even taste. It was that I couldn't translate what was in my head into actual decisions. Every tool I tried either made me feel like I was decorating a hotel room or gave me a render that looked nothing like my real life. And all the design content I loved was aspirational to the point of uselessness.
I kept thinking: nobody owns the space between Apartamento and a hardware store. So we built it.
The April 7 iOS launch is the full platform. You photograph your actual room, run it through Design Aura to find your style, and get AI redesigns built around 100+ curated styles with your real layout and architecture preserved, not a blank showroom. From there, Framehouse generates a step-by-step plan, a shopping list, a budget tracker, and gives you access to DIY Buddy, our in-project design assistant that helps you work through the decisions you'd normally stall on indefinitely. First 5 designs are free.
Here's what I'd genuinely love from the PH community: tell me about the room you keep putting off. The decision you've been circling for six months. Those stories shaped this product more than anything else, and I read every one.
Thank you for being here. This one took a while.
Michael

Who hunted Framehouse?
Framehouse was hunted by Framehouse Design. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
