Hey Product Hunt! 👋
The idea for Fossick came to me after watching my partner's parents spend days frantically searching for old files. The government had requested some documents from years ago, and they knew they had them saved somewhere—but they couldn't remember the exact filenames.
It made me realize how easily a disorganized hard drive can lead to real-world consequences, like missed deadlines or fines.
I built Fossick to solve this exact problem. I wanted a fast, 100% offline semantic search tool that lets you find files by what they mean, not just what they're named.

Who hunted Fossick?
Fossick was hunted by David Kim. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
