I built Folio because I kept losing hours to citation formatting and scattered PDFs. Every semester it was the same: twelve browser tabs, three citation managers, a bibliography I'd reformat twice before submission, and a draft that was late because I spent the morning tracking down page numbers. I wanted a tool that worked the way I actually wrote. Source library next to the editor, citations inserted in one keystroke, AI that knew what I was reading and could help me find what I was missing. It started as a tool for myself. I want to give every student and researcher the workspace they deserve.
