Fly X
Explore the world below even offline
Fly X turns the time between takeoff and landing into part of the trip. Before boarding, it saves your route and useful destination context so you can follow simulated flight progress, discover the places below, ask questions from saved journey knowledge, and arrive with guides, plans, and phrases ready—even without a signal. This launch is an interactive early prototype built around one KTW → CTA journey, designed to test what an offline flight companion could become.
Hey Product Hunt — I built Fly X around a simple question: why does the trip experience almost disappear between takeoff and landing?
Most travel products help you plan before the airport or navigate after arrival. Fly X explores the overlooked time in between. Before boarding, it prepares route and destination context so the experience remains useful without onboard Wi-Fi. During the flight, you can follow simulated journey progress, discover places below, ask questions using saved journey knowledge, and arrive with a guide, trip plan, and useful phrases already available.
What you can try today is an early interactive prototype built around one bundled journey: FR 1024 from Katowice to Catania. Progress is simulated rather than a live aircraft position, and the prototype does not yet support arbitrary flights, live airline data, or redeemable deals. I wanted to make those limits clear because this launch is about learning, not pretending the product is further along than it is.
I’d especially value feedback on two things:
Which part of Fly X would you genuinely use during a real flight?
What would make you trust and prepare an offline journey before boarding?
Thanks for taking the time to explore it. I’ll be here reading every comment and answering questions.
