Who hunted Flowveil?
Flowveil was hunted by Dave Hu. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hi Product Hunt, I'm Dave, the maker of Flowveil. 👋
I love the way light moves across water and the atmosphere it creates. I wanted to bring that feeling to something you could touch and listen to on your phone.
That became Flowveil: two interactive waterscapes, Pool and Mountain Stream, for iPhone and iPad. Shimmering water and light, ambient sounds, and touch-responsive ripples come together to set the mood.
Touch the surface and watch the ripples respond. Change the stream’s colours, let a duck drift, or listen to the water for a while.
In Mountain Stream, the clock sits beneath the ripples. You can also keep a favourite scene as a wallpaper or Live Photo, or bring a waterscape clock widget to your Home Screen.
Both waterscapes are free to explore, with a one-time unlock for some scenes and features. No subscription.
