Finoinc
Local-first personal finance for macOS
Drop in theofx statement your bank already offers: duplicates are skipped, refunds paired with their charges, your rules applied, and the month laid out on a dashboard. Bills on a calendar, investments apart from spending, optional local MCP server. One SQLite file on your Mac, no account, no telemetry. Free and open source.
Hi Product Hunt! I wanted to see where my money went each month without uploading my bank data anywhere or maintaining a spreadsheet. So I built Finoinc.
Export the .ofx statement your bank already offers and drop it in. Finoinc skips what you already imported, pairs charges with their refunds, applies your rules and lays the month out on a dashboard.
- Rules categorize every import, and the app points out recurring charges that still have no rule
- Card bills and transfers between your own accounts don't count twice
- Bills on a calendar: paid, pending, overdue
- Investments tracked apart from spending
- Optional local MCP server, so an AI agent can answer questions about your money
Everything lives in one SQLite file on your Mac. No account, no telemetry, no network calls by default.
Free and open source (MIT), built with Tauri, Svelte and Rust. macOS 12+, Apple Silicon and Intel.
Feedback welcome.

Who hunted Finoinc?
Finoinc was hunted by Mateus Fonseca. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
