Hi Product Hunt!
I'm one of those people who can't sleep without a fan running - which falls apart every time I travel, every winter, and every power cut. So I built the fan into my phone.
Fall Asleep Fan has three real fans (recorded from actual machines) at three speeds each, plus rain, crickets, campfire, and binaural sleep tones. You can layer sounds with per-sound volume and set a timer that fades out gently instead of cutting to silence.
The design constraint I cared most about: it must work in flight mode, with the screen off, all night. No account, no cloud, no data collection - every sound ships inside the app. Getting Android to not kill overnight audio was honestly the hardest part (OEM battery savers are ruthless); happy to share what worked.
It’s free and all sounds are free. It shows a small banner plus at most two full-screen ad per day (only when you’re online - offline nights are completely ad-free). An optional subscription removes all ads.
Android first; iOS if there’s enough interest. I'd love feedback - especially from fellow fan-sleepers: which sound puts you out fastest?
