Epochs: From Claw to Cosmos
Offline civilization sim: from the first fire to a town
Guide eight wanderers from a riverside campfire to a lasting town. Every villager has a body, family, skills and memories; discoveries come from real practice. Two full campaigns, fully offline, no account or ads. Windows Early Bird, free for a limited time.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Kirk, and Epochs is my take on a civilization game where the people matter more than the progress bars.
You start with eight wanderers beside an unknown river. Nobody knows how to farm or fire a pot yet - they learn it by actually doing it. Villagers age, get hurt, raise kids, argue in council and remember what happened to them. A bad winter or a raid can undo years of careless growth.
This is the Windows Early Bird: two complete campaigns (The First Flame and The Town) plus an open sandbox. It runs fully offline with local saves - no account, no ads, no DRM. Era Three is still being built, and I'm saying so up front rather than selling unfinished ages.
Honest note: I built Epochs with AI coding tools (Devin, Codex and Claude - they're in the shoutouts), and the hearth logo and main-menu art were made with AI image generation. The design, the testing and the decisions are mine, and the screenshots are the real game.
I'd love feedback on pacing and how clear the early game is. There's a "Feedback & known issues" button in the game that writes a small text file you can send me.
