Dropvi

Send large files free, end-to-end encrypted, no sign-up

Dropvi sends files of up to 50 GB free, and nobody needs an account to send or receive. Every file is encrypted in your browser before it uploads, so our servers only ever hold ciphertext. Recipients get an ad-free page with previews of video, audio, images and documents. Pro adds 200 GB transfers, 30-day links, passwords, download limits and your own subdomain.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Vimal, and I built Dropvi. I send large files to clients all the time, and the usual options kept getting in the way: low free limits, sign-up walls for the person receiving, ads on the download page, or "encryption" that only means the provider encrypts your files on its own servers. So Dropvi does a few things differently: - Up to 50 GB per transfer on the free plan, with links that last 7 days - End-to-end encrypted on every plan: files are encrypted in your browser before upload, and the server stores only ciphertext - No account needed to send a link or to download one - A clean, ad-free download page with in-browser previews - A command-line tool (pnpm add -g @zorinto/dropvi-cli) with JSON output and resumable uploads, for scripts, CI and AI agents Pro (£12 a month) raises the limit to 200 GB, keeps links for 30 days, and adds passwords, download limits and a branded subdomain. It runs on Cloudflare's network, so uploads and downloads go through an edge location near you. I'd love your feedback, especially on what makes you trust (or not trust) a file transfer service with something important.
