Who hunted DJNote?
DJNote was hunted by THOMAS PETROU. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hey everyone, I'm the person behind DJNote.
I built it because I forget a lot, including transitions I really liked. I'd find two tracks that worked perfectly together while mixing at home or during a gig, then forget that combination by the next time I played.
I wanted a way to save those discoveries and find them when I needed them. That's the core of DJNote: save a transition from track A to track B, then keep adding connections as you play.
Over time, you build your own map of your music. If you're playing live and drawing a blank, you can pull out your phone, look up the current track, and see the transitions you've saved for it.
I also keep it beside me when preparing playlists for parties. Going through those connections helps me remember tracks I'd otherwise overlook.
I made this for myself, and now I'm sharing it to see whether it helps other DJs too. How do you keep track of combinations you want to play again?
