I’m excited to share DemoMotion AI, an open-source AI agent that turns real web app workflows into narrated product demo videos.
I built this because creating a good demo video is still surprisingly painful for developers and small teams. You have to record the screen, write a script, capture the right flow, add narration, create subtitles, and edit everything into a clean video. For many projects, the product is ready before the demo is.
DemoMotion AI tries to automate that workflow.
You give it:
- a web app URL
- a goal, like “show how to create a task”
Then it:
- plans a demo scenario
- controls a browser with Playwright
- records the actual product flow
- generates narration and subtitles
- renders everything into an MP4
The current version is an open-source hackathon build. It works best with simple web apps and demo environments, and it includes a local demo mode so developers can try it without setting up cloud credentials.
