deepface.dev

Plug-and-play face verification API

deepface.dev makes face verification, embeddings, and vector comparison available through one managed API, so developers do not need to run infrastructure (this is all based on the opensource Deepface project by Sefik Serengil). We aimed to be developer friendly with transparent usage-based pricing, privacy-first controls, predictable latency, and AI-friendly access. AI agents can get anonymous keys with free calls/month, with higher free monthly limits for signed-up users and saved-card users.

We built this because we love what Sefik Serengil created with the open-source DeepFace project, but turning it into a production-ready experience still means dealing with virtual machines, GPU infrastructure, and too much backend overhead. Meanwhile, a new generation of vibe coders, AI builders, and agent-first products want a clean API they can test quickly, afford easily, and scale over time. So we took an excellent open-source foundation and turned it into a developer-friendly managed API for face verification, embeddings, and comparison, with straightforward onboarding, transparent pricing, and an AI-agent-friendly roadmap.
