You start with the Soul Mirror, an AI onboarding that generates a glowing portrait of you, floating in deep space alongside every other user. From there you explore, find someone who moves you, and write them a letter. It doesn't arrive instantly. It travels. Hours. Sometimes days. No likes. No followers. No algorithm. Just words that take time to arrive and mean something when they do.
Dear Stranger started with my sister.
She moved from Ghana to the USA for college and struggled to make friends. She’s naturally shy, and being in a completely new place where everything felt unfamiliar turned that shyness into loneliness, and eventually something heavier.
Watching her go through that broke something in me. She’s doing better now, but I couldn’t stop thinking about how many people out there feel the same way. New somewhere. Alone somewhere. Too quiet to reach out in a world that rewards the loudest voices.
I built Dear Stranger for them. For her.
No algorithms deciding who matters. No pressure to perform. Just a space where being thoughtful is enough, where you can write something real and send it into the universe, and maybe it finds someone who needed it at the exact right moment.
