Cueboard

Turn any spare screen into controls that follow your Mac

Cueboard turns an iPad, phone, or spare browser screen into a context-aware control surface for your Mac. A lightweight companion detects the app in front and automatically surfaces verified actions for Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Slack, Chrome, Figma, and more. Customize every key, page, workflow, and context rule. Pair once, then tap controls from the screen beside your keyboard.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Cueboard started with a simple question: why should the spare screen beside your Mac stay idle when it could hold the controls you need right now? The result is a browser-based control surface that follows the frontmost Mac app. A small companion detects whether you're in Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Slack, Chrome, Figma, or another supported app, and Cueboard surfaces documented native actions automatically—even before you build a custom profile. You can then make it yours: • Edit every key, shortcut, icon, and color • Build multiple pages and safe multi-step workflows • Match controls by app, bundle ID, window title, or browser URL • Pair an iPad, phone, tablet, or second computer • Keep pinned essentials visible across every app Cueboard is free during the beta. The Mac companion is currently an unsigned Apple-silicon beta, so the setup guide is deliberately transparent about Gatekeeper, Accessibility, and Automation permissions. I'd especially value feedback on two things: whether the automatic app controls feel useful on day one, and where the companion/pairing setup still creates friction. What would you put on the screen beside your keyboard?
