Crumb
Know what's safe to delete on your Mac
Most Mac cleaners show you a big number and a Clean button. Crumb shows you what you're deleting. One read-only scan names every item, its size, and whether it comes back on its own: Xcode build data, npm and browser caches, old app versions. Things that rebuild themselves are ticked for you; your files never are. Not sure? Ask Safe? before you delete. Plus a full uninstaller, a duplicate finder and a Downloads tidier with undo. Runs on your Mac, no account.

Hi Product Hunt, Crumb started with a small annoyance. My Mac kept saying the disk was almost full, and Storage settings answered with one big grey bar called System Data. No list, no explanation. The cleaners I tried went the other way: big warnings, one giant Clean button, and no real idea what was about to disappear. So Crumb works differently: 1. The scan is read-only. Nothing changes until you say so. 2. Every item says what it is, how big it is, and whether it comes back on its own. Caches and build files that rebuild themselves are ticked for you. Your own files, old iPhone backups and installers never are. 3. Not sure about a folder? Ask Safe? and Crumb tells you what it is and what breaks if it goes. Version 3.0 just shipped as a full redesign. Crumb also uninstalls apps along with their leftovers, finds duplicates and tidies your Downloads, always showing you the plan first. It's free to try with a full scan and one cleanup, then $9 once. No subscription, no account, and the scan runs on your Mac. I'd love to hear what Crumb finds on your Mac, and anything that confused you. I'm here all day.
