Cruce

The founder network that learns from every failure

Going solo doesn't mean going it alone. Cruce crosses your plan with what other founders already tried: what failed, what worked and who has the piece you're missing. Plus an AI cofounder that pushes back, all the way to your MVP. Free.

Hi Product Hunt, we're the Cruce team from Montevideo. We built Cruce at Build 101 for a founder we kept meeting. Eight months into a loyalty app. He asked his mom, his brother, his football friends, the guy at the corner shop. Everyone said it was great. Then he tried to sell it, and nobody paid. With AI anyone can build, and more founders than ever start without a cofounder (Carta: 36.3% of new startups in H1 2025 had a solo founder). Alone, you fall in love with your idea, and when you see every front you have to cover, you freeze. Meanwhile, somebody else already tested your exact plan and learned the lesson, in their own notebook. Cruce is a founder network where every founder learns from everyone else's experiments. Ask the network. Tell Cruce your plan ("give small shops the service free, then charge") and it crosses it with what other founders already tried and with documented failures and pivots (FuckUp Nights, post-mortems). It tells you what went wrong for them, what to try instead, and offers to connect you with the founder who went through it. Get told when someone shares your problem. Every confirmed problem and every hypothesis, with its outcome and evidence, becomes a node in a shared graph. When yours lines up with another founder's, Cruce lets you know: - you share the same problem, - they already validated (or refuted) your hypothesis, - they're testing the same hypothesis right now, - or you could be partners: their startup builds the piece you're missing, and you have what they need. Sharing pays off. Accepting to talk with another founder and share what you learned earns karma points, with a ranking. How we keep it useful and safe: - Anonymous until both founders accept. Only confirmed problems from verified emails enter the network. - Matching is by meaning, across Spanish, Portuguese and English. - An AI judge requires the same segment and the same pain. In our internal calibration (labeled synthetic set, 234 hard pairs) it accepted 0 of 110 deliberate near-misses. - Every "Was this match useful?" answer becomes a label we recalibrate with. And an AI cofounder that pushes back. A short grill frames your problem while sourced research runs in parallel; your idea becomes 3 falsifiable hypotheses with surveys and interview guides; then an alternatives matrix and a landing page Cruce writes and publishes to measure real demand. A hypothesis is only Validated when current evidence backs it, and you confirm it. Every result feeds the network. Where we're going: angel investors and VC funds finding their next star startups in the network, by their interests and expertise. Cruce is free (no card, no trial that expires). It's also an MCP server, so you can use it from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or ChatGPT. One question for you: what's a mistake you made that you wish another founder had warned you about? Cross data, not your fingers.

Who hunted Cruce?

Cruce was hunted by Manuel Graña. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
