I built Convertafile because I was frustrated by a common problem: having to upload sensitive documents to random third-party servers just to change a file extension.
Most free converters process your data on their backend, which is a massive privacy risk and adds unnecessary upload/download latency. I wanted to build something fundamentally safer.
Convertafile flips the model by running the conversion entirely locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device.
