Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm James, and I built CloudPost.

I wanted my AI assistant to work with my iCloud Mail, but Apple doesn't offer an MCP server for it. So I built one. CloudPost is a free, hosted MCP server that connects your assistant to iCloud, Fastmail, Outlook or any IMAP account, so you can read and manage your email in plain English across all your inboxes.

I've been a Laravel engineer for the last 12 years, and this was my first real introduction to building fully with AI. I made the whole thing in Amp, and I didn't even run `laravel new`. It scaffolded the app for me.

Privacy mattered most to me. Your passwords are encrypted, and CloudPost doesn't keep a copy of your mailbox. Your mail stays with your provider.

I'd love to hear which inbox you'd connect first, and what you'd want your assistant to do with it.

Who hunted CloudPost?

CloudPost was hunted by James Brooks. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
