Clipboard Share
Online clipboard: phone to PC on the same Wi-Fi, no sign-up
Open clipboardapp.org on two devices on the same Wi-Fi and they find each other automatically. No account, no app, no pairing code. Paste text or a screenshot, or drop files up to 5GB each; they appear on the other device with the sender's animal name tag. Sending an ID scan or a contract? Lock that file with a password: it is encrypted in your browser before upload, and only people with the password (or a one-file QR link) can open it. Files are cleaned up within a day. Open source.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Chang Hwan, a developer in Korea who also works as a digital tutor at a middle school.
Moving photos and links between my phone and the shared school PCs was always a hassle, and I didn't want to log into a messenger or cloud account on a shared PC. So I built Clipboard Share: open the same page on both devices on the same Wi-Fi and they're connected.
How it works: devices are grouped into a room by an HMAC of their public IP, so there's nothing to pair or type. Text goes over Socket.IO; files are stored briefly in Cloudflare R2 (up to 5GB per file, chunked and resumable, not P2P) and deleted within a day.
Honest limits: on school, office or cafe networks, other people on the same network can see the "Same network" room. So this week I added an optional password lock: a locked file's name and content are encrypted in your browser (PBKDF2 + AES-GCM) before upload, the server only gets the ciphertext and a password check value, and you can hand it over with a QR code that carries that one file's key after the #. The password lock doesn't cover text or device labels, and a forgotten password can't be recovered. I also added 1:1 rooms: tap "Connect 1:1" next to another device, check that both screens show the same four pictures, and files and text in that room are encrypted automatically for just the two of you, even across different networks.
It's open source and was built mostly with Claude Code. An AI agent also runs the daily SEO and growth loop, and I approve anything risky.
I'd love feedback on one thing: what would make you trust a no-login tool like this on a shared network?
