Claurst
Agentic coding for builders who ship
Claurst is an open-source, multi-provider terminal coding agent built from the ground up in Rust. It started as a clean-room reimplementation of Claude Code's behavior and has since evolved into the most optimized TUI pair programmer with a 4ms cold start time, multi-provider support, a rich UI, plugin system, a companion named Rustle, chat forking, memory consolidation, and much more. It's fast, it's memory-efficient, it's yours to run however you want, and there's no tracking or telemetry.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Kuber, the main dev behind Claurst.
I started Claurst because I loved the direction tools like Claude Code were pointing toward, but I wanted something faster, more transparent, and more hackable. Most coding agents either feel locked to one provider, too heavy for terminal-first workflows, or not really built for people who like to tinker with the tool itself.
So I rebuilt the experience from the ground up in Rust.
What began as a clean-room reimplementation slowly turned into its own thing: a fast, open-source terminal coding agent with multi-provider support, chat forking, memory consolidation, a plugin system, rich TUI interactions, and a companion named Rustle.
The main idea is simple: agentic coding should feel native to the terminal, should not force you into one model provider, and should be something builders can actually inspect, modify, and own.
Would love feedback, issues, stars, brutal criticism, or ideas for where to take it next.

Who hunted Claurst?
Claurst was hunted by Kuber Mehta. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
