Hey Product Hunters!
I'm the founder of ChallengeMate and this one has been a long time coming.
The idea for ChallengeMate came to me during lockdown. Everyone was stuck at home and suddenly the internet was full of people doing challenges together. Ice bucket challenge, Renegade challenge, 75 Hard challenge and countless others. Millions of people were joining in, nominating friends, and sharing content in a way I had never seen before. But they were doing it across Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter (now X), with no dedicated home.
That gap felt obvious to me. A platform built specifically for challenges, where you could create your own, join others, track your progress and keep control. The problem for me was cost. Getting a proper app built - even an MVP - the traditional way was completely out of reach as a solo founder. So the idea sat in my notes for years.
Then AI changed everything. New tools meant I could actually build it myself, without a development team, without hundreds of thousands in funding. What was once a dream I could not afford became something I could ship to the whole world.
So here we are.
ChallengeMate lets you create or join exciting challenges, upload short videos or pictures of your progress, nominate friends to take part, and build a profile that shows your full journey over time. You get a personal feed that documents exactly how far you have come, and a discover feed to find challenges and creators worth following. It's not a habit tracker. Not a social feed full of noise. Just challenges, done properly.
It sits in a space that no platform owns right now. TikTok and Instagram are entertainment first. Habit trackers are private and dry. ChallengeMate is the missing middle, a social platform where doing hard things consistently is the content.
We are live as a PWA right now with native apps on the roadmap. I am building in public and every piece of feedback from early users shapes what comes next.
