Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built CastWorkshop because I wanted to do more with local AI than generate one-off images and videos. I wanted to create characters that could develop personalities, remember conversations, interact with each other, and bring their stories to life.
CastWorkshop brings all of that together in a free, open-source application that runs entirely on your own hardware.
You can create persistent AI characters, chat with them, direct them in scenes, generate images and videos, or let them come up with creative ideas of their own.
Under the hood, it connects Ollama and ComfyUI, with support for custom workflows, multi-character scenes, video continuation, and even Telegram integration.
It's an early public beta, and you'll need a reasonably powerful PC to run it. I've been developing and testing it on an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB VRAM.
