Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m Chris, a Physics teacher and tutor, and I built CanvasForTutors because I wanted a better way to teach visually online.
Most whiteboards are designed as general collaboration tools. I wanted something built around the actual workflow of a tutor or teacher: preparing lesson boards, working with a student live, importing questions and resources, using subject-specific tools, keeping work organised, and coming back to the same lesson later.
CanvasForTutors has already been used in real tutoring sessions with students, so a lot of the development has come directly from what works — and what gets in the way — during an actual lesson.
Some of the features available now include live student collaboration, cloud-saved boards, multi-page lessons, image and PDF uploads, equations, graphs, circuit symbols, geometry and teaching tools, reusable boards and templates, and an installable desktop/mobile app experience.
This is still the beginning. I’m building CanvasForTutors into a complete teaching workspace for independent tutors and educators.
