Hey Product Hunt, I'm the maker of Brevia. Taking notes while trying to listen is a bit of a juggling act. Brevia gives you a transcript beside your notes, so you can stay in the conversation and sort out the details afterward. You can record your mic, your computer's audio, or both. Write down what matters to you as you go, then use AI to help pull out the decisions and next steps. The notes and summary are yours to edit. You can search old meetings and export to Markdown, Word, PDF and other formats. It also has an iPhone and Android companion. Take your phone to an interview or a meeting room, record offline, add a few notes or mark a moment, then send the recording to your computer when you're back. You can also use your phone as the computer's microphone. To try it: 1. Download the Mac or Windows app at https://brevia.work 2. Go to Settings → Model Library and download a speech model for your language. 3. Hit record, or import a recording you already have. Add a local AI model if you'd like help with notes and summaries. A couple of things to know: phone transcription happens on your paired computer, not on the phone. For live text, both devices need to be on the same local network and the computer needs to stay awake with Brevia open. Phone-only recording works offline. Speech recognition runs on your computer. Notes, summaries and translation can work offline too, once you've downloaded the models. You can choose an online AI provider instead; if you do, it receives the relevant transcript and note text, not the raw recording. Brevia is free and open source. No account needed. The desktop app supports Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 14+ and Windows x64. The gallery uses sample meeting data. Website and downloads: https://brevia.work iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/app/id681... Code and feedback: https://github.com/zerolovesea/B... If you give it a go, tell me what worked and what got in your way. I'm especially curious how it fits into your real meetings.
