Hi Product Hunt! I'm Manar, and I built bopomofo while learning Taiwan Mandarin. Most apps teach Mandarin through pinyin. In Taiwan, people read and type with Bopomofo (注音), and I wanted to remember the symbols themselves, without a pinyin crutch. So I built the practice tool I wanted: • Read: say a symbol, or type its pinyin from memory • Listen: tell tones apart, and hear tone changes like 3-3, 不 and 一 • Write: draw each symbol and see stroke order, direction, and missing strokes • Speak: record syllables and sentences, with a check on initials, finals, tones, and pitch • Coach: Bobo looks at your stats, picks your next drill, and explains why You can take a placement test, move through five levels, and practice with personal sentences in Bopomofo, English, and audio. It's free and open source (AGPL-3.0): https://github.com/manarbenkraou... I'd love your feedback, especially from people who grew up with 注音. Which sounds were the hardest for you?
