Betterest
Work apps rest after hours. Learn what recharges you
The laptop's closed. Your head isn't. Betterest ends the workday on purpose: tap Done and the work apps you picked (Slack, Teams, mail…) rest until tomorrow's check-in. Something urgent? Wait ten seconds and you get 15 minutes. Then one idea for tonight that fits what's left in your tank, and next morning one tap: did it refill you? Over the weeks it learns what really recharges you, with honest numbers. No account, and your data stays on your iPhone.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Etienne, the maker of Betterest.
I built Betterest because I found it hard to switch off after work. The laptop was closed, but my head wasn’t, and I spent a lot of evenings on things that didn’t recharge me, like scrolling social media or watching TV. Recovery research points to two things that matter after work: really detaching from it, and spending the time on something that restores you. Betterest does both, in a few taps a day:
🔕 Done with work? One tap, and the work apps you picked rest until tomorrow's check-in. It uses Apple's Screen Time, so nothing leaves your phone. Urgent? Wait ten seconds, then you get 15 minutes. 🔋 How much is left in the tank? Empty, Low or OK. 💡 One idea for tonight that fits your energy, not a list. Swap it once, or take the night off: that counts too. ⭐ Next morning, one tap: did it refill you? Over the weeks you see what really recharges you, and every average shows how many evenings are behind it.
iPhone only for now (iOS 26 and later), and not in the EU yet. The first month on the yearly plan is free.
I'd love to know: what actually recharges you after work, and what only feels like rest?

Betterest was hunted by Aera Nova. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
