Top comment

Hey Product Hunt — I built BeatDesign after using hosted AI video canvases for real production work. The canvas was useful, but my project, references, and unfinished client assets lived on someone else's site, while the agent was trapped in a product sidebar. I wanted the Higgsfield Canvas workflow on my own disk: one board for prompts, images, videos, branches, and references, connected to a short-form timeline. I also wanted Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP host to operate the same project. So BeatDesign is local-first and Apache-2.0. Studio, Canvas, Assets, generation history, and Editor live in one SQLite-backed folder. Import, edit, preview, and export MP4 without an account or API key. A source file leaves your machine only after you confirm a generation; generation uses your own provider key. v0.2 exposes 26 local MCP tools and supports image/video generation, Canvas branching, timeline trim/split/move, audio fades, selected-range AI redo, and browser-side H.264/AAC export. It is still developer-first: Node.js and pnpm, with no signed desktop installer yet. I would love feedback from creators and agent-heavy builders: where would a local, agent-drivable canvas help most in your workflow?
