Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm George. I work in VFX, and BATIQ is the compositor I wanted to exist. It's free and node-based, and it runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux, with processing on the GPU. I built most of it with coding agents, which made features that used to need a whole team reachable for one person: • A 3D Set node: a light GPU 3D scene inside a node, as many as you like. USD and Alembic, HDRI lighting, reflections, glowing surfaces and passes for comp. • A Camera Tracker that solves a plate and hands its camera and point cloud straight to a 3D Set. • An Edit node: cut media and whole node branches inside the graph, with OpenTimelineIO in and out. • Real colour: OpenColorIO 2.5 with ACES 2.0 built in, multichannel 32-bit EXR and Cryptomatte. It's also built for agents. With a headless CLI, a Python API and an agent skill, Claude Code or Codex can build a shot, wire it up and render it, and every step stays an editable node. You can always open the file, see what the agent did and change it. Diffusion models can still be part of this, as nodes in the graph rather than the whole pipeline. Next up is plugins, so open models like SAM, CorridorKey and LTX can drop in as nodes. Which one would you want first? I'd love your feedback, especially from anyone who comps for a living. Bugs and requests go straight to batiq.app/requests.
