I built atlassian-cli out of frustration with my own workflow.
I work heavily with Jira and Confluence in CI/CD pipelines and AI agent setups. When Atlassian's official remote MCP server launched, I was excited β but quickly ran into its limitations: browser-based OAuth that breaks in headless environments, and a massive schema payload that eats into the context window before any real work starts.
So I built a leaner alternative in Go. Single binary, env-var auth, and a --tools flag to load only what your agent actually needs.
