AteThatThere — Remember every great bite
Scan menus. Save dishes. Remember what to order next time.
Remember the dish, not just the restaurant. AteThatThere turns menu photos into dishes you can save, rate, and revisit in your private journal. Share a scan by QR code so friends can log their own meals. Works in your browser, with 5 free menu scans per month.
I built AteThatThere for myself because I can never remember what dishes I've tried as I revisit restaurants. It seemed like a great place to dive into using AI, both for the app and in the app. The menu scanning is to make sure dishes are named the same to improve searching, but also thinking towards sharing. A small payment to cover larger numbers of scans is only in place since there's a cost to process each menu scan. Is the subscription model too much of a turn off? How would you recommend handling it?
