Atendy
Your WhatsApp, answering customers and booking appointments.
Atendy is a WhatsApp Business assistant for small businesses in Portugal. Barbershops, salons, clinics, anyone taking appointments via WhatsApp. The AI bot handles incoming messages, books slots, sends reminders, and logs every customer automatically. You get a full dashboard with your schedule, CRM, and daily AI tips.
Most small service businesses in Portugal run their bookings through WhatsApp. Not because it's the best tool for it. Just because that's where their customers already are.
The problem is the owner ends up glued to their phone. A barbershop owner told me he was replying to booking messages at midnight. A clinic receptionist said they miss messages during busy hours and lose customers because of it. The problem isn't WhatsApp. It's that someone has to manually handle every single message.
That's what we built Atendy to fix.
We wanted it to work inside WhatsApp, not replace it. Customers don't download anything or learn a new system. They just message the same number they always have. The AI reads the request, checks the calendar, and confirms the booking. The owner wakes up with their schedule already filled.
Building it taught us a few things. Groq with LLaMA 3.1 handles the conversations fast enough that responses feel instant. Supabase made the backend far simpler than we expected. The hardest part was training the bot to handle vague messages like "can I come tomorrow afternoon?" and still book the right slot.
Starter plan is €19/month. No setup fees. Works for any service business taking appointments.
Happy to answer questions about how we built it or how it works. 🇵🇹
