Astraio Client
Superpowered, open-source & native Rust API client
Astraio is a blazing fast, open-source API client that supports HTTP, GraphQL, WebSockets, and more. Built entirely in Rust with a native GUI powered by Iced, it offers a lightweight, modern, and memory-efficient alternative for API testing and development. No Electron, no bloated memory—just pure native performance.
I built Astraio because I was tired of bloated, resource-heavy request clients. Here is the quick rundown:
🚀 Why I launched it: I wanted a frictionless workflow. No forced logins, no mandatory cloud accounts-just open the app and test your endpoints instantly.
🦀 Why Rust: Native performance. It starts instantly and uses a tiny fraction of the RAM consumed by Electron-based clients.
🌐 Why Open Source: Transparency and privacy are critical for dev tools. I built this to solve my own headache, and I wanted to share it with the community so anyone can use, audit, or improve it.
Give it a spin and let me know what you think! What's your biggest pet peeve with your current API client?
