Asklet.io
Embeddable Feedback Widget for Websites and Apps
Asklet adds a short, anonymous question to any page with one snippet: the end of an article, your pricing page or a new feature in your app. Results are grouped page by page, so you can see which posts and features worked and which fell flat. It works with WordPress, any CMS or your own web app, and you can style the widget to match your site. Readers don't sign in, and there are no cookies or tracking identifiers. There's a free plan, no card needed.
Hi PH, I'm Dino, and I built Asklet.
It started with two things at once. I run my own SaaS, and every time I shipped a feature, I had no real way of knowing whether people understood it or liked it. Around the same time, a digital finance magazine asked me for something simple: a way to ask readers at the end of each article whether it was useful.
In both cases, I ran into the same problems:
- Analytics show views and time on page, but not whether the page actually helped anyone.
- Email and NPS surveys arrive days later, when nobody remembers what they read, and few people answer them.
- Most feedback tools add cookies and tracking, which means one more consent banner for your readers to click through.
So Asklet asks a short question on the page itself, while the reader is still there. One snippet covers the whole site.
Each page or section gets its own survey, and the results are grouped page by page.
Readers never sign in, and there are no cookies, tracking identifiers or fingerprinting, so there's nothing to ask consent for.
The idea changed a lot while I built it. I started with articles for the magazine. Then I realised the questions I wanted to ask in my own SaaS were the same ones, just on a pricing page or a new feature instead of a blog post. So Asklet is now for SaaS products as much as for publishers.
The other big change came from using Asklet on Asklet. Our docs guides end with an inline widget, and the app itself has a side tab. Being my own customer every day changed many of the small decisions in the widget and the survey builder.
The free plan covers one website, 10 pages and 100 responses a month, and you don't need a card.
I'd love your feedback, especially on two things:
- Which page on your site would you put a question on first?
- What would stop you from adding it?
