Anycrap — The Store of Infinite Products
35k absurdist products with REST API, CLI & faker plugin
Originally launched as a parody store for AI-generated joke products. This update ships the full developer toolkit: REST API (35k products, free key, 60 req/min, OpenAPI spec), a CLI (npx anycrap random), and a faker.js plugin as a drop-in for faker.commerce.productName(), no API key, works offline. Full dataset also on HuggingFace.
Built this as a joke. It hit #1 on Hacker News, which I did not expect. Instead of moving on like a normal person I spent the last few weeks turning it into a proper API, a CLI, and a faker.js plugin - all free. Not sure who needs 35k absurdist product names but apparently some of you do. Happy to answer anything.
