Almirah

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Deep, a design engineer. My desktop had become a pile of screenshots, scans and PDFs, and every time a form asked for my passport scan I'd spend minutes digging for it. So I made Almirah: a small cabinet that stands on your desktop. Drop anything on it and it's put away in ~/Almirah, an ordinary folder, so Finder, Spotlight and Time Machine keep working and nothing is locked inside an app. When a form asks for something, open the doors and drag it straight onto the upload field. The part I spent the most time on is the locker. It's an encrypted disk image whose key is sealed by your Mac's Secure Enclave, so only Touch ID on your Mac opens it, and it locks itself when you step away or the Mac sleeps. It's native, sips almost no battery (about 0.03% CPU when idle), and runs on macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon and Intel. You can try it in your browser first on the website, dropping your own files on it. It's a one-time purchase with lifetime updates, and $9.99 for the first 100 people. I'd love your honest feedback.
