Alien Tribe 3 is the sequel we honestly never thought we'd make.
13 years ago, Alien Tribe 2 reached the Top 10 strategy charts in over 25 countries. We were building real-time strategy games for mobile before mobile RTS was even a category. Then life happened, and the series went quiet.
Now, in our 50s, we came back — not to remake the old game, but to finally build the version of Alien Tribe we always imagined. Designed from the ground up for iPhone and iPad.
To be honest, this project nearly broke us — not financially, but between us. We're so emotionally invested in this series that the disagreements got heated more than once. So much was unclear for so long, and every open question turned into a fight worth having. We came out the other side with the game we actually wanted to make.
Unlike most 4X games where expansion is everything, Alien Tribe 3 is built around a fragile energy network. Every colony, defense system, mining operation, and production chain depends on it. One destroyed connection can trigger cascading failures across your entire empire.
