👋 Hi everyone! I'm Ahmed Ali, the creator of POSR.
POSR wasn't built over a weekend—it has evolved from its first version, originally written around 2016, and has been running in real restaurants ever since. Over the years, every major feature has been shaped by actual restaurant requirements rather than assumptions.
With this new generation built with React and SurrealDB, my goal was to build something that's not only powerful for restaurant owners but also enjoyable for developers to work with. It's modern, self-hostable, offline-first, and designed to be easy to extend and integrate.
