AGENTS.md Generator
Generate AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md and Cursor files in-browser
Pick your stack, edit the commands, and copy a starting AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, Cursor rule and Copilot instructions file. Free, no signup, runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Presets are common defaults, so check them against your repo.
Hi, I'm Eric. I made this after getting tired of re-explaining each project to coding agents and forgetting which tool reads which file.
What it does: choose a stack (or paste your package.json, pyproject.toml, Cargo.toml or go.mod and it fills in your real commands from your scripts and tool config), edit the rules, and get four files: AGENTS.md, a CLAUDE.md that imports it, a Cursor rule and a GitHub Copilot instructions file. Copy or download each tab.
How it works: it's plain JavaScript running in your browser. No signup, no cookies or local storage, no analytics, and nothing is sent to a server.
Honest caveats: the presets are common defaults and some will be wrong for your repo, so check every command. The templates were written with AI assistance as starting points, and I checked the formats against each tool's docs on 2026-10-16. These files guide agents but don't enforce anything.
The tool is free. I also sell a $14 kit (a PDF plus drop-in files: templates for 12 stacks and audit prompts) and the page links to it, but you don't need it.
I'd love to hear which stacks or rules are missing or wrong, and what you'd want next.
